Beach Bum, I am.........

So, we went down to Myrtle for a few days to the Marriott/Grand Dunes Resort with Thomas for one of his conferences. Beautiful place, nice spa, awesome pool, great company.............fun trip! Still a little spoiled from staying in a condo and playing/sunning/running on a much wider beach. I love my CHERRY GROVE. I get to be a beach bum there, come the third week of July. But we still had a great time and I got to meet the rest of Thomas' sales team.

The ropes course and the zipline hang above the waters at Broadway at the Beach (about 50 feet). Such a fun evening we had there. The girls and I had done both back in April, but Thomas got to experience it a few nights ago.

Quick Trip to Marion!

The girls and I made a quick trip to Marion this past Thursday. In addition to hanging out with the cousins, we always frequent our favorite little coffee shop, The Crooked Door. Such a yummy place.

And of course, I always visit Daddy's grave site near Father's Day. Some days, I still can't believe he's gone. I scanned a few pictures of him with the girls from years ago.

Daddy was in Raleigh at his office the night Cammie was born. He rushed to Durham General and got there before she was born. To this day, Cammie still has this shirt hanging in her closet.

There's a something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years, it gets to be long enough for you to pick it up in your hands and weave it into a cloth that feels like love itself.

It's been a while............

since I've had a single extra second to post anything! All the end of the school year activities makes for a very busy Mom....I'm sure all of you are in the same boat! So, let's see...Cammie 'graduated' from eighth grade and I was on the committee to put together the dance. On the same weekend, I was on the committee to decorate the fellowship hall at church for the graduate luncheon, and right when I got home from doing that, we took 7 kids to Carowinds. That big "V" on my forehead (Volunteer) hasn't faded a bit. But, I wouldn't change a thing. The girls are growing up so fast, I'm trying to be a part of their everything...and I love it! Oh yeah, the girls also had another photoshoot in Davidson, so I'll post a very few of the 625 shots Megan took. Dang, it was hard to choose, but I'll start with those.

Camryn's 8th grade dance was alot of fun. Several of them even got together for pictures before the dance.

Let's see here....oh yeah....8th grade graduation...........I can't believe she's 14 already.

And being that I look like the size of a barn in this particular picture, we'll move on to.........the end of the year swimming PARTAY!! WOOHOO!

So now, I guess it's time to hang at the lake for a while.
