Dominican Republic!

Thomas won an award trip for being an awesome Salesman! His award, the Circle of Excellence, took us to the beautiful Dominican Republic. The turquoise water, white sand, and exquisite pools were incredible, but it doesn't hold a candle to the good 'ole US of A!!!!

From Charlotte, we flew directly to the Dominican in a 3 1/2 hour flight. Kinda cool how the airport there was an open-air airport. Neat, but I wouldn't want to be there in a storm.

SPRING!!! The beautiful sunshiny weather, dotted with quick, harsh thunderstorms and flowers....lots of flowers! Surely one of the many things I love about spring! Below are some of Mom's flowers. Aren't they beauitmous??!!

So, a few things I need to rattle about: First, you have got to go see the movie, SOUL SURFER. It is the most incredible movie ever. Rated PG, it is about Bethany Hamilton, the young surfer, whose arm was taken by a 16 ft. shark. Not only is she, as a person, optimistic, faithful, determined, fair, and family-oriented, she is also the epitomy of a hero. She is portrayed as a truly good, loving Christian who does mission work, reads her Bible, quotes scripture, attends Bible studies, and supports charities like World Mission. Please see this!!

Secondly, Thomas and I will leave for the Dominican Republic on Wednesday. I'll probably have a long post next week, and it won't be about flowers. It'll be about me (and Thomas) sitting around the pool, drinking, ummmmmm, Diet Coke!!!!!
