Happenings!

As school rolls on, the girls are in up to their eyeballs with activities...and lovin' it! Camryn is running cross country and Brooke has started her theatre class. Both are doing very well and I'm quite the proud Mama Bear!!

Mums and Macy and and Dasher....oh my.

Huddle, huddle.....

Cammie and some of her cross country buddies after a meet.

Camryn running in a meet in Statesville. Rough course...a lot of potholes and several injuries for our team.

Brookie finishes homework before the cross country meet.

Okay, so I didn't mean to put this on, but I have no clue how to get pictures off of the blog post. Sorry. Anyway, this is just a picture, that's all. Nothing grand....probably on my way to run kids somewhere. I am the Mom taxi for North Iredell county.

September!

The end of August and beginning of September brought lots of fun stuff. We spent one night at First Baptist's cabin in Black Mountain for Brooke's birthday party. It was so much fun. Nine kids altogether......rollerskating, hiking, eating, and playing. It was a blast and Brooke loved every moment. She turned 11 on September 4th. Wow...time flies when you're having fun!

Part of the crew ready for the trip to the mountains.......Lucas, Taryn, William, Brooke, Georgia, and Sara.

At the cabin! Missing Seth in this picture!

Brooke and Sara. Thought I had a picture of Brooke and her cake, but I can't find it.

Brooke wanted this huge desk for her birthday. She was thrilled to see it when she came home from school one day!

Nana always has doughnut pyramids for the grandkids on their birthdays, so Brooke was thrilled with this!

While we were in Marion over Labor Day Weekend, we also took a stroll on the Greenway, McDowell's newest asset. It was beautiful. The kids waded in the Catawba and threw rocks to their heart's content.

I also got to spend some time with Christal over the weekend. We tried out the new sports bar, AFTER 5 on Friday Night. Great little place. And, then on Saturday, she and I went to the Marina at Lake James to hear her brother and Throwdown Jones play a few tunes. Man, are they good. Enjoyed it immensely! Got to see several people there that I haven't seen in years.

Me, Christal, and Charity.
