Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy. I miss you more than you'll ever know. You are.....the wind beneath my wings.

And to Thomas: Happy Father's Day. You're a terrific Daddy to our girls! XOXOXO

End of Year, 2010

Whew! May and June were bursting at the seams with activities as it is for so many people. The girls were busy, Thomas was busy, and I was busy to the max. But that's okay...we wouldn't have it any other way. Following are things the girls were involved in in no particular order...and of course if they were involved, I was too.
Camryn's chorus concert.

Brooke's wax museum. This is an end-of-the-year project for the fifth graders and they love it. They research someone from the United States and their contributions to our country. They write a paper and then at the end, they dress up as the person and pose for all the other classes in the school to come by and view. It is awesome. They remain still for 10 minutes at a time, rest a couple, and then hit another pose for another class to come by. For two years, since Camryn was Oprah, Brooke has known that she wanted to be Kristi Yamaguchi. Cammie did her make-up and she looked so cute. My girls leaned against picking someone with light skin and light hair....go figure!! She actually had real ice skates too....just can't see them.

Another wax figure....ahem!!!!! This is William posing as Mr. Cartwright...the guy who invented baseball. I could go on and on about this event, and there were wax figures from Lucille Ball to Abraham Lincoln to Albert Einstein, Tyler Hansbrough, Sacagawea, Michelle Obama, Neil Armstrong.........etc.

Cammie's athletic awards day.......cross country, cheerleading, and softball.

Cammie and Cami....both will be running again next year for Lakeshore.

Seventh grade field day.

Christina and me.....we co-chaired the five, large fifth grade events that took place at the end of May and June. My partner in crime and fatigue.

Very ready for graduation!!

This just about killed me. Brookie walks into Lakeshore Elementary for the last time as a student.

Nana and Brookie after graduation. Brookie won the 'prestigious' Pirate Award. That's the biggest award in the school. Awesome, Brookie!! She and Camryn also scored A's on the report cards and Camryn got an award in Math. Parents weren't invited to that, in case you're wondering why I don't have a picture. And by the way, Camryn did Brooke's hair and make-up for graduation. Of course, she usually doesn't wear make-up....this was just a special thing.

Daddy and Brookie......
